Mold Design Process (2D & 3D)
A well-designed mold reduces overall tooling/part production costs and mold trial tuning time, directly benefiting customers. GPT prioritizes mold design, investing heavily in resources and advanced technologies to deliver high-quality solutions.
Core Advantages & Early Collaboration
Leveraging state-of-the-art 3D design software, we transform customer product concepts into reality. We welcome early vendor involvement in project conception stages to provide design input, optimizing product manufacturability, reducing costs, and shortening time-to-market. Our expertise in custom injection mold design, development, and manufacturing enables us to solve complex product challenges.
Advanced Software & Data Compatibility
Equipped with leading CAD/CAM/CAE tools (Pro/E Cero2.0, AutoCAD 2012, SolidWorks 2013, Mastercam 9.0, UG NX8.0, Cimatron E8.5), we efficiently convert 3D data files (IGES, DXF, STL, STEP, etc.). Before mold design, we conduct a thorough review of customer-provided 3D part models, generate feasibility reports, and feedback on potential issues promptly.

2D & 3D Design Execution
Mold and product design are performed using UG, PRO/E, and SolidWorks, which enable direct split line generation from 3D product models. 2D General Arrangement (GA) drawings are created in AutoCAD, clearly showing gating/runner systems, ejection, cooling, inserts, slides, and venting. Our experienced engineers, combined with full CAD/CAM/CAE system application, ensure each mold is designed for maximum tool life, easy construction, and minimal maintenance.
MoldFlow Simulation Optimization
MoldFlow software is utilized to validate design feasibility prior to mold manufacturing, ensuring design accuracy, and saving time and costs.
