Shipment Inspection Checklist for Plastic Injection Mold

This checklist is designed to verify that plastic injection molds meet quality and safety requirements before shipment, ensuring intact delivery and immediate usability for customers.

  1. Mold Body & Structural Inspection
  • Mold dimensions (length, width, height, installation size) comply with design drawings and customer specifications
  • No visible defects on mold surface (e.g., scratches, dents, rust, deformation)
  • Mold plates, guide pillars, guide sleeves, and other structural components are intact and tightly assembled (no looseness)
  • Core, cavity, and other key molding surfaces are smooth, free of burrs, scratches, or corrosion; surface treatment (if required) meets standards
  • Mold locking mechanism functions normally; no abnormal gaps or jamming;

  1. Functional Component Inspection
  • Ejection system (ejector pins, ejector plates, return pins) operates smoothly without jamming; ejection stroke meets design requirements
  • Core pulling mechanism (if applicable) runs stably; positioning is accurate, with no slipping or abnormal noise
  • Cooling system: Water channels are unobstructed (tested by water pressure); no leakage; inlet/outlet interfaces are intact and marked clearly
  • Heating system (if applicable): Heater rods, thermocouples are intact and correctly installed; temperature control is accurate
  • Sprue bush, nozzle, and other feeding components are intact; no blockage or damage
  1. Safety & Identification Inspection
  • Safety devices (e.g., safety gates, limit switches) are installed correctly and functional
  • Mold is marked clearly with necessary information (mold number, weight, customer name, GPT logo)
  • Warning labels (e.g., for high temperature, moving parts) are pasted in prominent positions (if required)
  • Installation holes, lifting lugs are intact and meet loading requirements; lifting is safe and stable
  1. Packaging & Protection Inspection
  • Mold surface is properly coated with anti-rust oil/grease to prevent corrosion during transportation
  • Key components (core, cavity, guide pillars) are protected with protective covers or films
  • Packaging (wooden case, carton, etc.) is sturdy and moisture-proof; meets international shipping standards
  • Internal fixation (e.g., bolts, brackets) is firm; mold does not shift in packaging
  • Shock-absorbing materials (if needed) are properly placed to avoid collision damage
  1. Documentation & Accessories Inspection
  • Complete documentation is attached: Mold design drawings, material certification, inspection report, trial molding report, operation manual, maintenance manual
  • Spare parts are complete and matched (e.g., spare ejector pins, guide sleeves, heaters, gaskets); packed and marked separately
  • Special tools (for installation, disassembly, maintenance) are provided as required
  • Customs documents (if applicable) are complete and accurate
  1. Final Trial Confirmation (Spot Check)
  • Spot check of mold functionality (e.g., short cycle trial) to ensure no abnormal operation
  • Trial parts (if provided with shipment) meet quality requirements (dimensional accuracy, surface finish)
