A consumer-electronics tooling brief should explain how the component looks, assembles, and performs within the finished product.
Enquiries can cover external housings, internal supports, connectors, or other molded components. Each needs its own set of requirements. Share the component data and the relevant assembly context so the tooling discussion can focus on visible surfaces, interfaces, material choice, and evidence for approval rather than a general product description.

Discuss permissible gate, parting-line, and ejection locations, together with decoration or coating requirements that may affect how the molded substrate is evaluated.
Identify mating parts, snap fits, screw bosses, contacts, and alignment features where relevant. Include datum references and critical dimensional relationships. Explain whether the part must support repeated assembly, controlled clearances, or other defined functional checks.
Specify the resin grade and relevant temperature, chemical, eléctricas, or mechanical conditions. Identify any mandated material requirements and supporting records. If inserts or multiple materials are proposed, describe their purpose and how the interface will be tested.
