THREADED-PART TOOLING
Plan threaded-part tooling around the thread specification, material and required assembly. For a part that cannot release by a simple straight pull, an unscrewing mold may provide a route to remove the molded thread while preserving its intended geometry.

Specify the resin grade, additives and intended service conditions. Discuss shrinkage, release behavior, cooling and the proposed drive arrangement with the tooling team. Machine interfaces, mechanism access and maintenance expectations belong in the mold specification.

Begin with a DFM review to identify release questions and proposed part changes. The mold design discussion should make the retention method, movement sequence and machine interfaces clear before construction is agreed. For mold validation, define how samples will be checked for thread form, assembly fit, visible damage and any specified sealing or load requirement. Record trial findings and resolve open issues before approval. Mechanism choice, cycle targets and tool-life expectations require project-specific confirmation.
